Radio Gwendolen is a self supporting charitable organisation. In order to raise the funds required to stay on the air and to replace and improve our equipment and facilities, we offer the chance for local business and other organisationations to raise their profile within the area by having their message heard on the airwaves of 1287AM.

Spot advertising

If you would like us to write you an advert to play on our station, we would be more than happy to do so. Alternatively, if you have used radio as a medium previously, then we would be happy to play an existing commercial that you already own the rights to.

Commercials are normally aired from 6am til 6pm just after the hourly news bulletin, although we are also happy to negotiate alternative times to suit.

Costs....

The basic cost of having a single advertisement of upto 60 seconds duration is 50p / play, although we do insist on a minimum campaign of 60 (12*5) commercials.

As with most things in life, we offer a sliding discount rate that increases with the size of your campaign. You can have a campaign that lasts from 1 week to a maxiumum of 1 year.

We also offer a further discount to returning advertisers.

Sponsorship of programmes

As an alternative to spot advertising, we also give you the chance to sponsor some of our popular programmes. From the breakfast show to the Soul show, the nightly request programme to saturday football commentary. The majority of our programmes can be sponsored to raise awareness of your brand or message.
